If you like your FIFA and your football, you’re going to want to know all about the latest EA Sports FC leaks, right? Well, thankfully, there are quite a few of those to talk about. In fact, one of the most exciting leaks we’ve seen so far has just dropped; FIFA leaker ‘FutSheriff‘ has shared a list of over 20 potential new Icons and Heroes that could be added when EA Sports FC arrives – and there are some huge names on that list.
While this list is full of iconic former footballers that would all be viable candidates to get special cards in EA FC, it’s just worth remembering that none of these are confirmed right now. FutSheriff has reported these as “in testing” – meaning that they might not see the light of day when the final release rolls around.
However, as you’ll be able to see for yourself down below, there are some names on this list that seem sure-fire given their popularity and their illustrious careers.
Here’s the list of potential new EA Sports FC Icons and Heroes, according to FutSheriff:
- Carlos Tevez
- Vincent Kompany
- Wesley Sneidjer
- Sergio Aguero
- Ramieres
- Arjen Robben
- Arda Turan
- Bobby Charlton
- Zico
- Beasley
- Dimitar Berbatov
- Frank Ribery
- Gianluca Vialli
- John Arne Riise
- Kanu
- Paolo Futre
- Enzo Francescoli
- Shunsuke Nakamura
- Steve McManaman
- Tomas Rosicky
- Bixente Lizarazu
- Ludovic Giuly
As you can see, there are some fantastic players on that list – all of which you could feasibly see as either an Icon or a Hero in EA Sports FC. There’s no information to discern which players will be Icons and which will be league-based Heroes right now, but we’ll let you make your own assumptions there. You have to imagine that players like Bobby Charlton and Enzo Francescoli are going to be Icons – and we think players like Berbatov and Ribery will probably be Heroes. But, who knows? All we know right now is there’s a chance we’ll see these players in-game in EA FC – and that’s rather exciting.
Interestingly, FUTSherrif has added that only four new Icons are expected to be introduced to EA Sports FC alongside 12 new heroes. So, there are some players on that list that definitely won’t make the cut if that’s the case.
We know the EA Sports FC 24 release date is a little ways away yet, but leakers have been working hard to find out everything they can about this upcoming football game. As the first football sim from EA without the FIFA license in almost 30 years, it’s becoming clear that there could be some major changes coming. However, it looks like the inclusion of Icons and Heroes in EA Sports FC’s version of Ultimate Team isn’t going to change that.
One thing we do know is that EA Sports FC leaks are teasing a huge overhaul to this often overlooked FUT system. So, while we don’t know for sure, this could be one of the best football games we have seen in quite some time. Will it be one of the best games of all time? We’re not so sure, but it certainly sounds like it could be an improvement on FIFA 23.
