The days are counting down until we return to fighting the forces of evil for the next numbered sequel in years, but is Diablo 4 coming to Switch? The previous game, Diablo 3, saw a port release with the Eternal Collection, but that wasn’t until six years after the official release.
So, before we drop into Diablo 4 as we near the Diablo 4 release date, we’re excited to pick out our Diablo 4 classes and join our friends in Diablo 4 multiplayer, no matter what platform we play on, but can you join your friends on a Nintendo Switch version of the game?
Is Diablo 4 coming to Switch?
No, Diablo 4 is not coming to Nintendo Switch. At least, there hasn’t been an official announcement yet.
Both Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 3 saw a release on the Nintendo platform. But Diablo 2: Resurrected was a remaster of the original that released in 2000, and Diablo 3 was released six years after the official release. It’s unlikely that, with Diablo 4’s graphical upgrades and improvements, that the sequel will see a release on the Switch.
However, different games have seen a port to the Nintendo Switch years after release, despite offering some high-end graphics. Games like Doom Eternal, Bioshock Infinite, and more saw a release on Nintendo’s platform. However, we think that Diablo 4 would likely arrive on a Switch successor, if anything.
That’s whether a Diablo 4 Switch port is likely to come. While it’s a shame you won’t see it on the Switch any time soon, you may be wondering if Diablo 4 is on Game Pass for those with an Xbox or PC. Nevertheless, if you only own a Switch, you can find the best Switch RPG games here, which there are plenty of.
