Will CS:GO skins transfer to Counter-Strike 2?
Valve has confirmed that CS:GO skins will transfer to Counter-Strike 2 once the game has launched in Summer 2023 on PC.
“Bring your entire CS:GO inventory with you to Counter-Strike 2. Not only will you keep every item you’ve collected over the years, but they’ll all benefit from Source 2 lighting and materials”, a statement on the Counter-Strike 2 website reads. This sequel will support legacy models and finishes and in addition, all stock weapons, high-resolution models, and some weapon finishes also take advantage of these higher-quality models.
These visual upgrades also go alongside other upgrades we can see in the world and on the various Counter-Strike 2 maps. So you can rest assured that your CS:GO skins will transfer to Counter-Strike 2 and you haven’t lost a bunch of money you have spent over the last decade or more.
