You can no longer get the MG 82 in Warzone because this version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will come in handy if the MG 82 ever returns. It is still available in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer via the in-game challenge.
In Season 3 of Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, LMGs fell out of favour with a lot of players. However, Season 4’s MG 82 gave the LMG category some love.
The MG 82 made it onto the best Warzone guns list thanks to it boasting the quickest fire rate of all the LMGs, great damage, and, of course, a massive magazine. In fact, it rocked up with the fastest time-to-kill of all the LMGs at the time.
Unfortunately, with Warzone’s integration with Black Ops Cold War far behind us, the MG 82 is no longer available in the current version of the battle royale mode. However, if you’re returning to Black Ops Cold War’s traditional multiplayer, then the weapon can be used and unlocked in the standalone multiplayer via the standard in-game challenge unlock.
MG 82 Warzone unlock
To unlock the MG 82 in Warzone, all you had to do was reach tier 15 of the Season 4 battle pass. This didn’t take regular players too long. Once Season 4 was over, this was replaced by a similarly quick in-game challenge that required you to kill three or more enemies without reloading across 15 different, completed matches.
While it is no longer available in Warzone by any means whatsoever, you can still complete the above in-game challenge in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer.
With relatively easy unlock requirements and great overall stats, the MG 82 was a popular weapon for quite some time.
