We know Call of Duty’s evolved battle royale experience has only just dropped, but Al Mazrah isn’t for everyone. If you’re finding yourself falling out of love with Warzone, you’ll be pleased to know that Caldera and the older battle royale experience are coming back – and there’s not long left to wait. We have everything you need to know about the Warzone Caldera release time below – but, there are a few things you should know about, too.

Warzone may have had its problems, but it was without a doubt one of the best battle royale games out there. When the world needed an alternative to Fortnite and Apex Legends the most, it was a breath of fresh air – and offered a lot of us hours of entertainment.  And now, it’s coming back.

Warzone Caldera release time

But, when is it coming back? Well, the Warzone Caldera release time is scheduled for 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST on November 28 – according to the Call of Duty Blog.

However, it’s worth noting that the aforementioned Call of Duty Blog uses the word “approximately” when describing this release time – and it does also say that this will be “once the Warzone 2.0 ecosystem is fully stable”. If you’ve played the new Warzone experience, you’ll know that it’s far from what you would call a stable game.

So, as with anything, it’s worth taking this with a pinch or two of salt. Activision hasn’t mentioned Warzone Caldera since this initial release time announcement, so there’s a chance things have changed. However, the silence could be taken as a sign that things are on track and the game itself will be available.

When Warzone Caldera does launch – or re-launch – don’t expect any sign of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep. Both smaller maps will be unavailable. This release is going to feature the one main battle royale map, Caldera, and a standard battle royale playlist. That’s really all we should expect, at least at launch.

Still, it’s going to be worth brushing up on the best Warzone loadouts and working out which weapons are heralded as the best Warzone guns. Who knows, we might even see a weapon balancing change from Raven Software – although, don’t count on it.
