Call of Duty: Warzone update reverts Agency Suppressor change

Raven Software has also reverted changes to the GRU and Wrapped Suppressor, among other minor tweaks in its latest hotfix

Call of Duty: Warzone Season Two went live on February 24, 2021, and featured a number of tweaks and changes to the massively popular battle royale game. However, one change which was never published, and was quickly picked up on by players was a ‘stealth nerf’ to the suppressors added with Black Ops: Cold War – particularly the Agency Suppressor. Developer Raven Software has now reverted the changes in a hotfix that went live yesterday, March 3.

The Agency Suppressor is the go-to attachment for many players, emulating the Monolithic Suppressor that is a popular choice for those using weapons from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, after the Season 2 update, players noticed a decrease in the effective damage range of their weapons with the suppressor attached. This was a result of the attachment negatively impacting bullet velocity. Alongside the Agency Suppressor, the GRU and Wrapped Suppressors have also been reverted to their previous state.

The latest hotfix not only addresses the issue of the suppressors, but also fixes an issue with Baker’s fourth Operator Mission – “to eliminate 15 enemies using a weapon with an attached 2x magnified scope or greater” – which previously wasn’t tracking correctly. Additionally, there have been a small number of updates to “various UI elements such as icons, store bundles, player level up, among others.”

Raven Software’s tweet announcing the changes can be seen below.

With the reversion of the Agency Suppressor, Warzone players currently taking advantage of the buff to the AUG’s bullet velocity should ensure they’re using the attachment as part of the best AUG Warzone loadout.
