You’ll never guess what, Warzone 2 players? There’s a triple double XP weekend kicking off in the free-to-play battle royale shooter. Don’t worry if you’re a Modern Warfare 2 player, though; this triple 2XP weekend is going to be available there, too. Oh, and Infinity Ward is adding a cheeky Shipment 24/7 playlist to proceedings as well. If you have weapons to level up and attachments to unlock, now is quite literally going to be the perfect time. If you’re just looking to grind out some battle pass tiers, though, we also have a cheeky little loadout for you.
Before we delve deeper into that, though, let’s just clarify when the triple double XP weekend is starting. As per information on the Warzone 2 Trello board, a triple 2XP weekend is starting in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 at 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 GMT on March 10 until the same time on March 13.
If you’re one of those pesky PlayStation players, you’ll be pleased to know that an additional 24 hours of standard double XP will be available in both games from 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 GMT on March 9. We know the times don’t exactly line up, so we could see the triple double XP extend by an hour in-game on March 13.
In addition to Shipment 24/7, Infinity Ward has confirmed that 10v10 Mosh Pit, Dome 24/7, and Infected will remain in Modern Warfare 2. So, there’s plenty to play if you don’t fancy dying several hundred times an hour – which is something that could happen in Shipment 24/7.
Anyway, onto the loadout. Whether you’re looking to take Ashika Island and the tight corridors of Tsuki Castle by storm, or spend as much time as physically possible darting between shipping containers in Shipment 24/7, you’re going to feel right at home with one of the best Warzone 2 Fennec 45 loadouts – or one of the best Modern Warfare 2 Fennec 45 loadouts, if you want to be particular about it.
So, to make sure we’re only suggesting the absolute bees knees when it comes to one of the best Modern Warfare 2 SMGs out there, we turned to Call of Duty content creator ‘Hero‘ for his build. Here’s what you need to know:
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mw
- Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip
- Magazine: Fennec Mag 45
So, what does all of that actually do to your Fennec 45? Well, you get sound suppression, increased damage range, recoil smoothness, improved ADS speeds, better hip fire accuracy, and a bigger magazine. It’s hard to fault this build, to be honest. You can find specific tuning information below:
We know a short-range SMG isn’t for everyone, though. So, that’s why we’re going to give you another loadout to use this weekend – because we’re nice like that.
For those of you who prefer a longer-range option in Call of Duty, we’re going to take a look at one of the best Warzone 2 RPK loadouts and best Modern Warfare 2 RPK loadouts out there right now. This hard-hitting LMG can shred with the right attachments and we’re turning to Call of Duty content creator ‘ChainFeeds‘ to provide us with the best build. Here’s what you need to know:
- Muzzle: Polarfire-S
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
- Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip
Once again, this weapon build is going to offer you sound suppression and increased damage range. However, this is also going to smooth out any erratic recoil patterns, improve the bullet velocity on offer, and boost the recoil steadiness overall. It’s slower than the Fennec, sure, but it’s a beast.

If you’re someone with some COD Points to burn, you should check out when the Shredder TMNT bundle arrives in Warzone 2 and MW2 right here. As for everyone else, we know this Warzone 2 Ashika Island mask easter egg will be worth your time, but Shipment 24/7 on triple 2XP is really too good to pass up, right?
