We know Call of Duty easter eggs can be quite extensive and time consuming, but eagle-eyed Warzone 2 players have found a quick one on the newest Warzone 2 map – Ashika Island – that’s well worth your time. So, if you’re wondering what the Warzone 2 Ashika Island easter egg is all about, you’re in the right place. Oh, and if you find yourself a little light on in-game cash, this is going to bag you a loadout drop marker – which is never a bad thing.

But, just how do you get your hands on this free loadout drop marker – and complete this cheeky little Warzone 2 Ashika Island easter egg? Well, as explained by Call of Duty content creator ‘Mr Fishy McFish’, you’re going to need to keep an eye out for three mysterious masks in-game.

These masks aren’t going to be the easiest to spot in and around a firefight, so you’re going to need to coordinate with your squadmates if you want to make sure you have the best possible chance at completing this easter egg. However, you might find yourself getting lucky – so, don’t worry about trying this one on Resurgence Solo either.

The first mask can be found in the main castle building of the Tsuki Castle POI in the centre of the map. It can spawn in one of four places, so you might have to do some searching. This mask will either be located on a desk on the top floor of the castle’s tower, the floor below on a desk behind a crate spawn, or next to the weapon lockers on the ground floor near the destroyed wall.

The second mask is actually going to spawn somewhere in the larger building opposite the main castle in the Tsuki Castle POI – the one that’s a little north. When you make your way here, you’ll find the mask near a weapon locker on the ground floor, on a barrel in the corner of a corridor, on a folding chair in a small building just south-west of this larger structure, or on the bulldozer vehicle outside – near the broken wall heading west.

When it comes to the third mask, this is going to spawn near the well that’s east of the main castle building. There’s probably a couple more spawn locations for this mask – but, they’re still being found. We’ll update you on any more that pop up.

But, for now, if you need a hand finding any of these, just check the video below:

Once you have found one, or more, of these masks you need to take them to the Altar building of the Tsuki Castle POI; this is the second largest building of the complex and the one closer to the helicopter spawn and the courtyard. The place where you need to put the masks should be quite obvious, but keep an eye out for a katana on display if you find yourself lost.

When you put the three masks in, waves of Rusher AI will start to spawn. The objective here is to survive until a pop-up appears onscreen and you get yourself a free Loadout Drop Marker.

Yes, getting free access to the best Warzone 2 weapons and all your best Warzone 2 loadouts really is that simple – you just need to find a few masks and kill a few AI.
