Call of Duty Vanguard is no longer supported with additional content or significant updates, and players have largely moved on to more recent releases. Nevertheless, Vanguard’s multiplayer is still available and this loadout is usable.
The Sten SMG offered run-and-gun fun to take out the opposition with speed and finesse in multiplayer, making it a fan-favorite weapon in Call of Duty: Vanguard. There weren’t many standout SMGs in the game and the MP40 held the top spot for its impressive versatility. But, if you were looking to improve the range and recoil of the Sten and make it your SMG of choice, there were plenty of attachments for the job.
With Vanguard’s updated attachment system, you had ten different slots to fill up. Of course, this made choosing the best Vanguard Sten loadout for you a little more complicated in one of the best FPS games on PS5 and Xbox.

- Stock: Gawain Para
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: 9MM Para 50 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Proficiency: Acrobatic
- Kit: Fast Melee
This is loadout focused on fast kills and honing the recoil control on one of the game’s bouncier weapons. It was hard to convince players not to opt for the MP40, but with a loadout like this, it was worth a try.
We recommended running without an optic to free up some extra space elsewhere, though the Slate Reflector was a strong choice if you weren’t a fan of the Sten’s default iron sights.
