Call of Duty Vanguard Automaton best class setup, attachments, and more

The Automaton is one of Vanguard's best assault rifles, so you'll need the best Vanguard Automaton loadout for multiplayer right away.

Call of Duty Vanguard is no longer supported with additional content or significant updates, and players have largely moved on to more recent releases. Nevertheless, Vanguard’s multiplayer is still available and this Automaton loadout is usable.

The Automaton was a rather unique assault rifle in Call of Duty Vanguard. With its high rate of fire, it often felt more like an SMG. However, the best Automaton Vanguard class was still a force to be reckoned with at any range.

To get it into a state where it was one of the best Vanguard guns, you needed a certain combination of attachments to give it all the right boosts in all the right places. With recoil already very manageable, it was all about giving the Automaton the damage numbers and bullet velocity to compete with other top ARs, such as the very popular STG44 Vanguard class.

It was a very fun weapon to use, but with this class setup, it was powerful enough to send you flying to the top of the leaderboard.

Automaton Vanguard class

The best Vanguard Automaton loadout was:

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: Anastasia Sniper
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Empress Broadsword
  • Underbarrel: M3 Ready Grip
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Leather Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

With boosts to its ammo capacity, bullet velocity, damage, and ADS speed, this Automaton class setup was an absolute laser in Vanguard.

While your movement was slightly slower and you were visible on the minimap due to the lack of a suppressor, those drawbacks were not really that detrimental with a build like this. You could sit back, find yourself a nice lane or a head glitch, and pick players off from afar.

If you had been using other ARs, the feel of the Automaton would no doubt take some getting used to. But once you’d mastered it, it felt brilliant to use.

The Anastasia Sniper stock and Lengthened ammo both added a good amount of bullet velocity, the Empress Broadsword improved your ADS times and negated the loss of recoil control that came with some attachments, and the Sleight of Hand proficiency improved your reload speeds with that cumbersome 75-round Sakura magazine on board.

So that’s what we used to make the best Automaton class in Vanguard. Fun to use, deadly accurate, and powerful at range. Simply superb.
