For anyone wanting a great co-op FPS experience, look no further than Spec Ops in Modern Warfare 2. These bonus missions, which must be completed with a pal, are a great extra bit of content alongside the campaign and multiplayer. If you are going to give it a go though, make sure you’re going in with the best Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops kits equipped.
Here’s a breakdown of every Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops kit that’s been revealed, and our recommendations for which ones to take into these epic MW2 co-op experiences.
Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops best kits
So far, we only know of three Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops kits – Assault, Medic, and Recon – and Assault sounds like it’s going to be the best of the bunch. It is worth noting however that we are yet to see the full array of kits in MW2 Spec Ops, or what benefits each one gives at their various kit tiers.
While we know there will be Medic and Recon kits, the official Call of Duty blog has so far only revealed info on the Assault kit. When upgraded to a high tier, Assault can give you “faster loadout item usage, increased armour capacity, and free stims included in the backpack”.
We also know that each kit has ten tiers, and Infinity Ward recommends maxing out the best MW2 Spec Ops kit ahead of the Raids release date in late 2022 which will utilise them.
