When it comes to the pantheon of Call of Duty maps, only a few stand toe-to-toe with Shipment. Last seen in Call of Duty Vanguard, the tight-knit map is set to return with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded. Though Shipment has proved to be a divisive map in the past, it has maintained a loyal following over the years. However, don’t get too comfortable, as the revamped version of the iconic map has seriously changed.

Originally debuting in 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Shipment is known for its no-nonsense approach to chaos. It’s an excellent chance to farm both level and weapon XP, especially if you’re preparing to use the best Warzone 2 guns for some tasty dubs in the battle royale.

According to the devs, the Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 Midseason update will have “no climbing up into a higher container” at any of the map’s spawn points. Previously, players were able to gain a high-ground advantage on unsuspecting foes. Vanguard even included breakable terrain to provide extra angles to dominate the opposition.

With Modern Warfare 2 introducing fresh movement mechanics, the decision may come as a surprise to some. There will undoubtedly be some frustrating moments, especially with Activision encouraging players to “fly toward and detonate over tightly packed groups of enemies” using the Bomb Drone Killstreak. Even with these changes though, there’s nothing that equipping the best MW2 guns to your loadout can’t solve.

Shipment isn’t the only new addition dropping in the game either, as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Raids mark a franchise first for the long-running FPS series.
