If you’re working your way through the ranks and you haven’t started building your best Modern Warfare 2 Lachmann-762 loadout, then what are you waiting for? This battle rifle, which is based on the Heckler & Koch G3, packs a punch straight out of the box, but with a few subtle tweaks it can be turned into a beast of a weapon that’ll nab you some killstreaks and be more mobile.

But what are the best attachments for the Lachmann-762 and how do you optimise its high damage stats to turn it into one of the best Modern Warfare 2 guns for multiplayer? Let us help with some attachments to help you out on maps and game modes.

Modern Warfare 2 Lachmann-762 loadout

While the Lachmann-762 boasts high damage rates in its vanilla state, you’re going to want to play around in Gunsmith to improve the gun’s speed and mobility, while enhancing its best aspects. Here is the best Lachman-762 Modern Warfare 2 loadout:

  • Receiver: Lachmann-762
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Red Dot
  • Stock: FT Mobile Stock
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40

You are probably sick of hearing us say this by now, but to kick things off you want to choose the Cronen Mini Red Dot unless there is a sight that suits your playstyle better. And, then, paired alongside that, to focus on the stability of the weapon add the Lachmann TCG-10 rear grip to the BR for improved recoil control.

For your stock, you want to try to enhance the mobility with this bulky BR as much as you can so we recommend choosing the FT Mobile Stock. This will improve your sprint speed and aim walking speed, which will help you out when things get a little bit too close for comfort.

From there, we want to work on the weapon’s recoil as it will kick quite a bit. For this, equip the Sakin Tread-40 which will improve recoil control all around.

Then, to cap things off, throw the 15.9″ Lachmann RAPP Barrel onto the 762. This enhances the already potent damage the battle rifle deals with improved damage velocity and damage control. It also gives you better hip-fire accuracy, in case you ever have to use the weapon and improved recoil control. The downside with this is that it will hurt your movement a bit so don’t expect to be able to use this weapon and run around the map.

Modern Warfare 2 Lachmann-762 class setup

While the attachments above will certainly turn the Lachmann-762 into a different gun, it’s nothing without complimenting features. Our Lachmann-762 class setup will walk you through which secondary, perks, lethals, and tacticals, you’ll want to pair with this rifle.

On the secondary front, since the Lachmann is one of the punchier battle rifles,, you can simply pick the X12 to have that backup. However, if you’re looking for something else to give you that edge in-game, use Overkill and read up on our best VEL 46 Modern Warfare 2 loadout or our Expedite 12 Modern Warfare 2 loadout guides.

For your base perks, we’d recommend Battle Hardened, and, if you’re not using Overkill, Scavenger. Battle Hardened reduces the strength of enemy flash, stun, gas, shock, and EMP grenades, while also making you immune to Snapshots. Scavenger will let you pick up ammunition from dead bodies, keeping you well-supplied throughout the match and keeping those big magazines stocked up.

As for bonus and ultimate perks, Fast Hands and Bird’s Eye are a great pairing. Fast Hands makes your reloads and weapon swaps quicker and Bird’s Eye gives you an improved minimap, allowing you to overlook the map much better and also reload the hefty weapon faster.

For your equipment, we’d recommend pairing Drill Charges to force enemies out with a Shock Stick and the Portable Radar Field Upgrade.

So there you have it, our best Lachmann-762 Modern Warfare 2 loadout. Of course, there are plenty of other combinations in this competitive FPS to enjoy, from the best assault rifles to best SMGs, ones that better fit the more mobile playstyle if that is how you enjoy playing Call of Duty with one of the best Modern Warfare 2 loadouts.
