Support for Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone was discontinued in May 2022, with no new content added to the mode ever since. However, it is still playable.
Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone is an intense, high-stakes take on the shooter’s large-scale warfare. With limited respawns, Data Drives to recover, and a heavy emphasis on strategy, it’s a far cry from the carnage of All-Out Warfare. In Hazard Zone, there are 15 Tactical Upgrades – which are all unique to the mode – that will help you get a leg up on your opponents, thanks to the significant buffs and boosts that they offer.
Some of these Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Tactical Upgrades are available for free, however, the majority of them are purchased with Dark Market Credits which are earned when you extract Data Drives from the map in Hazard Zone. You can use these Dark Matter Credits at the start of a match to buy these Tactical Upgrades, as well as other pieces of gear like weapons and gadgets.

Starting Armor
Starting Armor is one of the free Tactical Upgrades and allows you to start Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone matches with +20 armor.
Negotiated Bounty I
This Tactical Upgrade is the second free one in Hazard Zone and will allow you to get 50% more credits for killing Occupying Forces, which are groups of enemies surrounding and protecting Data Drives.
Sqaud Reinforcement
This Tactical Upgrade can be purchased with Dark Market Credits and gives you a Reinforcement Uplink. This allows you to respawn one squadmate from death.
Quickdraw Holster
In Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone the Quickdraw Holster Tactical Upgrade allows you to switch weapons 15% faster. It can be purchased with Dark Market Credits.
Data Storage
The Data Storage Tactical Upgrade will increase your Data Drive carry capacity by two and can be purchased with Dark Market Credits.
Loadout Insurance
This Tactical Upgrade can be purchased with Dark Market Credits and will reimburse you with 50% of your loadout and Tactical Upgrade costs when you die in Hazard Zone.
Biometric Scanning
This upgrade allows you to spot enemies for 50% longer and can be purchased at the start of matches with Dark Market Credits.
Faster Healing I
The Faster Healing I Tactical Upgrade allows you to heal 20% faster in Hazard Zone and is purchased via Dark Market Credits.
Faster Healing II
Much like the previous upgrade, this Tactical Upgrade can be purchased with Dark Market Credits but will heal you 50% faster, compared to 20% with the first upgrade.
Ammo Increase I
This upgrade will give you one additional magazine for your primary weapon in Hazard Zone and can be purchased before a match using Dark Market Credits.
Ammo Increase II
This second tier of the Ammo Increase Tactical Upgrade will give you two additional magazines for your primary weapon and can be purchased with Dark Market Credits.
Insider Information
Available to purchase with Dark Market Credits, the Insider Information Tactical Upgrade will reveal drop locations of Data Capsules, which contain Data Drives, 30 seconds before they land.
Throwable Increase I
The first tier of Throwable Increase is available to buy before a Hazard Zone match with Dark Market Credits and increases your carried throwables by one.
Throwable Increase II
This second tier of the upgrade increases your carried throwables by 2 and can be purchased ahead of a match with Dark Market Credits.
Table Deal
The Table Deal Tactical Upgrade will provide 100% more Dark Market Credits as a reward for extracting Data Drives. It can be purchased with Dark Market Credits.
