Assassin’s Creed Hexe release date speculation, what we know

If you’re looking for information on the Assassin’s Creed Hexe release date, then here is what you can expect from a very different kind of Assassin adventure.

Assassin's Creed Hexe Release Date: An assasin and the logo can be seen

When is the Assassin’s Creed Hexe release date? Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Infinity is shaping up to be the single most ambitious title from the developer to date – if the rumors are to be believed. There’s so much to look forward to and fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise are in for a treat, especially when the Assassin’s Creed Hexe release date arrives.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity is a live-service platform the developer will use to release almost every Assassin’s Creed title going forward – sort of like a hub for Ubisoft’s upcoming games after Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Hexe, which we’re discussing here, is one of the upcoming games that will be launching after the initial Assassin’s Creed Infinity release date, and will hopefully be one of the best RPG games once it comes out.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity Project Hexe game release date speculation

Assassin’s Creed Infinity’s Project Hexe doesn’t have a release date but it is expected to release in 2027 or 2028 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Reports suggest that Ubisoft only entered production on Assassin’s Creed Infinity in July 2021, so there’s still a long way to go before we get our hands on it. Hexe will be the second game for the platform.

Assassin’s Creed Hexe setting

Assassin’s Creed Hexe features a 16th-century central European setting which will focus primarily on the infamous witch-hunting of the period. You know what that means? The Assassin’s Creed Infinity Project Hexe setting is most likely to be in areas of the Holy Roman Empire.

While this witch-hunting phenomenon was something almost every European nation experienced in one way or another throughout the 15th and 16th centuries, it was perhaps its most violent in the areas that make up modern-day Germany – and regions like the Duchy of Bavaria, Duchy of Swabia, and Lombardy. This is where we think we might see Project Hexe take place.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has yet to explore Germany and its history in any meaningful capacity. It’s widely accepted in modern history that the European witch hunts of the early Elizabethan Era featured several waves of quite substantial witch hunts – launched in southern Germany throughout the 1560s and 1570s.

You can find the teaser relating to Assassin’s Creed Infinity’s Project Hexe at the 26-minute mark in the video below:

This could mean that the Assassin’s Creed Infinity Project Hexe setting features major settlements spread throughout the Holy Roman Empire as a whole – such as Cologne, Nuremberg, and Augsburg. However, it could also mean that we’re offered an insight into larger settlements in the southern areas of the Holy Roman Empire – such as Salzburg, Milan, and Constance.

When will we see Assassin’s Creed Hexe gameplay?

Assassin’s Creed Hexe gameplay is likely to arrive sometime in 2027 or 2028. As mentioned, this game will be released after Assassin’s Creed Red, so don’t expect to see it for another half a decade or so. This is a guess on our part, but the game will be different from the typical RPG games we have seen recently too, so some development experimentation may be needed.

Even though we don’t know too much about the Assassin’s Creed Infinity Project Hexe game – or AC Infinity itself, this is all sounding too good to be true. This game could easily be one of the best PS5 games available – and one of the best Xbox games available – when it eventually releases. Of course, the Assassin’s Creed Red release date is closer if you want to take a look at what to expect from that game.
