Crossbow bolts in A Plague Tale Requiem can be found throughout the world, embedded within wooden planks or boxes, or sitting around the environment. They are pretty scarce and cannot be crafted which means they should be fired sparingly as you never know when you might need one.
Crossbow Bolts are a more deadly, powerful method of killing enemies, able to kill enemies with helmets on, as you can shoot their bodies. Crossbow bolts start appearing from chapter 5 in the chapter list when you pick up the crossbow throughout the rest of the game. However, more crossbow bolts do appear in the later chapters in the game as Amicia has to face more and more enemies.
