If you’re on the hunt for the latest Xbox games at the lowest possible prices then Microsoft has you covered with its Publisher Spotlight Series sale. Offering up to 90% off 125 games that range from the latest AAA releases to classic bangers, to titles we’d rather forget about, it’s a real mixed bag.
Kicking off our picks with the most notable recent AAA releases, we have Call of Duty MW3 Vault Edition (20% off), Mortal Kombat 1 (40% off), and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged (50% off). All three titles have been spotted on sale before, but you won’t find them cheaper elsewhere right now.
As MW3 – one of the best FPS games out there – hurtles through its year-long lifecycle, it’s unsurprising that savings are already available on its premium version – it’s currently $79.99. Sporting operator packs and skins, battle pass skips, and even a weapon blueprint to get you started, now’s the perfect time to cash in on cosmetics seeing as it’s only ten bucks above the base game’s RRP. Check out our Call of Duty MW3 review for more on Sledgehammer’s latest installment in the iconic videogame series.
The past couple of years have been an absolute treat for fans of the best fighting games, with big-hitters like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and, of course, Mortal Kombat 1 all coming to Xbox. Fortunately, the latter is down 30 bucks to $41.99 right now – an absolute bargain for the game that we dub “a reboot with a big, bloody heart” in our 8/10 Mortal Kombat 1 review.
Finally, we have the excellent Hot Wheels Unleashed 2. Not only is it the game with the highest The Loadout review score out of the three, but it’s also received the biggest price cut down to just $24.99. In our 9/10 Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 review we call it “one of the surprise packages of 2023” thanks to the racer’s “total focus on fun, amazing visuals, and lots of welcome additions and improvements over its predecessor.”
But that’s not all the sales list has to offer. For example, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League enjoyers can sample the quintessential Kevin Conroy Batman experience in the Batman Arkham Collection for a whopping 85% off – down to $8.99. Similar savings can be had on DC fighter Injustice 2, with its Legendary Edition having been slashed by an even more eye-watering 90%. You can currently pick it up for just $5.99.
