Xbox sale slashes up to 75% off Lego Star Wars and Borderlands hits

There’s still time to save on the latest bangers from Borderlands and Lego Star Wars in the ongoing co-op game Xbox sale.

The latest Xbox sale round has presented plenty of treats for budget-savvy gamers, and its couch co-op deals look to provide big value for Borderlands and Lego Star Wars enjoyers in particular. With up to 75% off top titles from both franchises on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S until Monday, May 13, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better deal anywhere.

The Borderlands movie is rapidly approaching, and Lionsgate’s marketing machine is really starting to spin up. Recently, a new poster for the star-studded flick was shared over on Twitter, while IGN revealed that director Eli Roth will be attending IGN Live next month alongside cast members Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina) and Florian Munteanu (Krieg). The iconic co-op game series is finally getting its big-screen debut on August 9, and the current Xbox sale is the perfect jumping-in point if you’ve yet to acquaint yourself with Lilith, Claptrap, and Co.

If there’s nothing more dopamine-eliciting for you than a crass looter shooter, then the Borderlands games are for you. The first two Borderlands games are personal favorites of mine, and the best way to experience them – alongside the brain-twingingly named Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – on current-gen hardware is through the Borderlands Legendary Collection. Down 60% from $49.99/£39.99 to $19.99/£15.99, you’re easily looking at 70+ hours of peak content for you to enjoy alone or with a pal for a solid price.

Though Borderlands 3 didn’t quite resonate in the same way with me as its precursors, it’s still a cracking game – its 81 Metacritic score can attest to that. If you’re after a more modern gaming experience complete with the 4K 60 fps bells and whistles, then you can enjoy 75% off the Super Deluxe Edition of the latest mainline game, bringing it down to $19.99/£17.49 from $79.99/£69.99.

But that’s enough yapping about Borderlands – my (clap)trap is firmly shut – as it’s time to head to a Lego-based galaxy far, far away. If you’re just as gassed about Darth Jar Jar as I was when Disney aired the Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy trailer earlier this week, then now’s the time to get stuck into one of the best Star Wars games out there – Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Xbox has managed to force the price down for the most comprehensive Lego Star Wars experience to date from $59.99/£49.99 to $14.99/£12.49 – a Mace Windu-cool 75% off. In our glowing 9/10 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga review we say TT Games’ latest and greatest is “everything you want it to be and more.” Featuring over 380 characters spanning all nine episodic movies, with key moments from each hilariously recreated with the Lego games’ trademark humor, you’ve got quite the binge ahead of you.
