With the new WWE 2K22 release date just a short time away, it’s a good time to be a WWE fan. After taking a hiatus for 2020 and 2021, the series is back and it looks as though this latest instalment might just be the best WWE game yet. So what makes WWE 2K22 so special? Well, after many people were disappointed with WWE 2K20 due to its janky controls and graphics, Visual Concepts decided to go back to the drawing board for this latest instalment. The result involved rebuilding the game’s engine from the ground up, tweaking many of the problems with WWE 2K20 to create a much smoother, more enjoyable gaming experience.
Along with the return of the MyCareer mode (renamed MyRISE), which will let you play through the story of either a male or female custom wrestler’s rise to prominence, this game also sees the addition of a new mode called MyFACTION. In MyFACTION, you build up your own stable of established wrestlers, upgrading them and powering them up through participation in weekly events, giving a new angle to the multiplayer element.
But which version of the game will you want to pre-order? Well, here’s an overview of the different WWE pre–order bonuses available in each one:
Pre-OrderWWE 2K22 Standard Edition pre-order bonuses
The WWE 2K22 Standard Edition pre-order is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Along with day one access to the game, this will net you a handful of pre-order bonuses, but it’s not a one size fits all approach. Available on all consoles, the Deluxe Edition of the game comes with a few fancy bonuses that you won’t find in the Standard Edition. It encompasses:
