Warhammer 40K Darktide has been delayed for a third time, developer Fatshark has announced. The upcoming co-op shooter is now set to arrive in November

Warhammer 40K Darktide delayed until November 2022: four of the Darktide characters

Warhammer 40K Darktide developer Fatshark has today announced that the upcoming co-op shooter will once again be delayed, citing a need to further polish the latest addition to the Warhammer videogame franchise. The game will now launch on November 30 for PC, with the Xbox Series X|S release coming “shortly after”.

Taking to Twitter to share the update, the studio says that choosing to once again delay the Warhammer 40,000 Darktide release date is “perhaps one of the most difficult decisions a developer faces, and one we are not excited about making.”

However, the choice has been vindicated by the need for more time to “improve stability, performance, and to mature key systems.” With that said, Fatshark will be opening up signups for an upcoming series of tech tests and betas – you can do so right here.

Originally set to release last year, Darktide was initially pushed back to Spring 2022, before it was finally given a September 13 release date. Unfortunately, players will have to wait a couple more months before they can enjoy the full experience either on Game Pass or by purchasing it.

Although it will come as a disappointment to some fans, those affected should take solace in the fact that the studio is working to create the best game possible, rather than rushing out an unfinished product.
