PlayStation’s new Planet of the Discounts sale is now live until Thursday, February 28, cutting prices by up to a whopping 75% on over 2,000 games, DLC packs, and other add-ons. From God of War Ragnarok to Remnant 2, there are plenty of bargains to be had on top titles, and we’re here to share our picks of the PS5 bunch.
If you’ve wanted to kick it with Kratos, but triple-A pricing has held you back, now’s your time to wield the god of war’s Leviathan Axe. God of War Ragnarok can be yours for just $39.89 – a delectable 43% off, and the lowest price we’ve seen for one of the best PS5 exclusives (and one of the best games overall) go for – as confirmed by psprices.
Picking up Kratos and Atreus’ journey three years after the events of the first game in the rebooted God of War series, the plot of Ragnarok revolves around the pair navigating the cataclysmic event from Norse mythology. As one can imagine, there’s some light god-slaying involved – the thing Kratos does best. In our 9/10 God of War Ragnarok review, we highlight its “action-packed narrative, satisfying combat, luscious Norse world, and some fantastic character development.”
Next up we have excellent soulslike shooter Remnant 2. Having scored an 8/10 in our Remnant 2 review thanks to its “strange worlds, frantic combat, and astounding replayability,” Gunfire Games’ latest and greatest has earned a spot in our best soulslike games list. Remnant 2’s Standard and Ultimate editions are both down 40% in the sale and can be nabbed for $29.99 / $41.99 respectively.
God of War Ragnarok isn’t the only PS5-exclusive banger in the sale either. Horizon Forbidden West is currently down 60% to just $23.99, while Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales can be had for $19.99 – also 60% off. Likewise, if Remnant 2 isn’t enough to fulfill your soulslike needs, the exquisite Lies of P has had 25% knocked off its price tag, bringing it down to $44.99.
