PS5-bound fighting game DNF Duel gets bruising launch trailer

DNF Duel releases on June 28, and the fighting game just got a new launch trailer at the IGN Expo before it hits PC, PS5, and PS4 later this month

DNF Duel PS5: Two fighters butt heads and look menacingly in DNF Duel

DNF Duel, a new fighting game that is being co-developed by Guilty Gear Strive dev Arc System Works, has got a new trailer at the IGN Expo just a few weeks before it launches. The spin-off of the Dungeon Fighter Online RPG is heading to PS4, PS5, and PC later this month, and the new trailer brings all the info revealed about the game already into one handy package.

DNF Duel will feature four local modes – story, arcade, survival, and free battle – plus an online ranked mode. Fighting game fans will be happy to know that DNF Duel, just like the immensely popular Guilty Gear Strive, will also have rollback netcode to ensure a smooth online experience. Huzzah.

You’ll have a roster of 16 fighters to choose from – most of which are on show in this fast-paced new trailer. The game has already had a few betas, which have gone down well, and now we’re just a few weeks away from seeing if it’s the real deal.

We won’t be seeing it at EVO this year, despite it being a console-exclusive on Sony’s systems, but if DNF Duel turns out to be hit, it could always barge its way into the lineup next year.

You can check out the new trailer below.

DNF Duel releases on June 28, 2022, on PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam.
