Additionally, Ubisoft later released ‘Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands’ – which served as a narrative gap-filler between the first two games – in 2010. Now over 30 years old, the Prince of Persia franchise hasn’t received a new installment since 2018’s ‘Prince of Persia: Escape’ – an endless, side-scrolling mobile runner game. The Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake doesn’t have a release date, as such rumors suggest it won’t come out until at least 2024 or 2025, as it has been delayed several times. Ubisoft PR lead Antoine Leduc-Labelle told The Verge back in May that Ubisoft was “no longer targeting a FY23 release.”
Having originally been given a January 21, 2021 launch date at 2020’s Ubisoft Forward event, the remake was initially delayed to March 18, 2021, and then indefinitely when Ubisoft took to Twitter on February 5, 2021, to share the news. it has then been pushed back again and again with Ubisoft reiterating that they are working on it.
