We may still be sitting here waiting for the Overwatch 2 beta release date to get our first proper look at Blizzard’s hero shooter sequel, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t leaks and rumours to talk about – and one of them sounds almost too good to be true. Ahead of any official roster announcement, Overwatch 2 leaks have surfaced that suggest Junkertown’s Junker Queen could be joining Junkrat and Roadhog as a playable hero at some point in the future. It’s about time she got her revenge, isn’t it.
FefeGG, a known Overwatch content creator and leaker, revealed information about Junker Queen’s Overwatch 2 abilities during a live stream earlier this week – and ‘Stuck-In-Orbit’ has helpfully collated these in a Reddit post on the Overwatch 2 subreddit.
According to the leaks shared by FefeGG, Junker Queen will boast five abilities when (and if) she is released – and she’s going to make the most of a Scattergun to devastate opponents outside of these.
Of all the leaked abilities, ‘Serrated Blade’ is the most interesting. From what we have seen, it looks as though this large melee weapon – most-likely a knife of some kind – will apply a bleed effect on each successful hit. However, it can also be thrown like a boomerang and hit multiple enemies multiple times from a distance. Melee weapons are something of a rarity in Overwatch, so this ability could help Junker Queen fill a gap in the roster – if the leak is accurate.
Adding to this, Junker Queen’s remaining leaked abilities all sound like believable additions to any future Overwatch 2 character. And, it’s important to note that this isn’t the first time this character has come up in discussions around future roster additions. OverwatchNaeri, someone who’s always on top of the latest Overwatch news and leaks , tweeted this almost a year ago – with interesting concept art to boot.

‘Rallying Cry’ is an ability that will reportedly boost Junker Queen’s health pool by 200 points, her allies’ health pools by 100 points, and give her a 30% speed buff. This ability would suggest that Junker Queen could be a Support role hero – however, there’s also a lot that would suggest she could fit into the Tank role well.
For example, another of her leaked abilities: ‘Adrenaline Shot’. This ability reportedly heals all status effect damage – whether that is bleeding, fire damage, or poison damage. This is reportedly being coupled with ‘Carnage’, an ability that allows her to deal bleeding effect damage in a wide area in front of her, and ‘Rampage’, an ability that sounds similar, but with anti-healing effect.
As with any leak, it’s worth taking these ideas with a grain of salt until we learn more from official sources. However, Junker Queen sounds like an exciting addition to the roster.
