Zone

Move an icon around the strike zone and press A/X for a normal swing that passes across where your icon was placed. Great for more experienced players who value what part of the bat to connect with.
Directional
Directional hitting offers a similar but simpler solution to batting than Zone hitting. Instead of an icon to choose precisely where you’ll swing, you simply push the left stick in a direction to give the batter a rough idea of the direction you want to hit the ball. This is good for less experienced players who still want some control over where to send the ball.
Timing
These swings simply require you to press a button or use the analog stick as the ball passes over the plate to hit the ball. You can’t influence the direction the ball will travel in, but it is also the simplest way to successful batting. This hitting style is for beginners, or players who want a more casual style of play.
