We don’t know about you, but Marvel’s Avengers isn’t actually as bad as it was – and it’s one of the best Xbox Game Pass games to jump into and play with your mates over the holiday season. But, we know that’s just taking our word for it. So, if you’re looking for something a little more concrete when it comes to reasons you should check out Marvel’s Avengers again, we have one for you here. Square Enix is celebrating the holidays in Marvel’s Avengers with Quad XP – yes, that’s four times the amount of XP – and a sale on almost every cosmetic in the store – including MCU outfits.
In this week’s War Table blog, Square Enix has confirmed that there will be a Quad XP and Double Resources event for all heroes in Marvel’s Avengers from December 22 until January 5. In addition to this, there’s going to be a massive sale in the Marvel’s Avengers Marketplace; players will be able to get 50% off most MCU and non-MCU outfits, 50% of all takedowns, 50% off all emotes, and 50% of all nameplates.
We know Marvel’s Avengers’ best MCU skins yet were discovered in a datamine recently, but we don’t think any of the more recently added cosmetics will be available – as they’re usually the only exceptions. That still leaves you with quite a few options, though.
If you’re wondering what there is to do while all this bonus XP is on, you’ll be pleased to know that the Tachyon Anomaly is back as an LTM. These event missions can be found in-game and should be the perfect way for you to earn powerful new gear items for your recently levelled-up heroes.
There’s also a new Amazon Prime Gaming Bundle for you to pick up, if you’re looking for an extra boost. This comes with Iron Man’s “Illustrious” Outfit, a cosmetic reminiscent of a classic comic book appearance, an Iron Man nameplate, a three-day Fragment Extractor and a three-day Hero’s Catalyst.
It’s worth noting that any Hero Catalyst items you want to use, that boost XP, also work alongside the Quad XP event. So, you could be looking at eight times as much XP if you have some lying about – which is a little mad.
