The League of Legends midseason is rapidly approaching, and the MOBA game is soon to receive some major changes to not only the denizens of Summoner’s Rift, but to how the Rift itself operates. And players could be in for more frequent tweaks of this magnitude.
As shared by Summoner’s Rift team lead Matt ‘Phroxzon’ Leung-Harrison to Twitter, LoL patch 13.10 switches up a slew of timings for various systems. Looking at the current PBE change list, Homeguards will now come in at minute 14 (previously 20), while Blast Cones will begin to appear several minutes sooner than before.
Elsewhere, top and bottom lane minion waves will now meet at the same time as the mid lane wave, thanks to an increase in minion speed – this will only affect minions after the first wave, and before 14 minutes. Additionally, minions will no longer aggro enemy champions while targeting towers, allowing your foe to trade on you under tower without taking excess creep damage.
Speaking on the cadence of the changes, Phroxzon expresses the studio’s desire to ship “medium-plus-sized system changes [like last year’s Durability Update] more than once a year”, though player feedback will be monitored.
If you want to see the full down of changes coming to the LoL ranks, then check out the aforementioned PBE change list. Of course, this isn’t the final form of the patch, but it will at least give you an indication of what’s to come.
