The League of Legends 2022 Mid-Season Invitational is but a couple of weeks away. And now, following the conclusion of the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs Final, the last of the 11 MSI 2022 teams heading to South Korea’s BEXCO arena next month has punched its ticket, finalising the MSI 2022 groups.

After a dominant 3-0 performance against 100 Thieves – marking the fastest LCS final ever – Evil Geniuses will be making its MSI debut. Earlier today the 2022 VCS Spring Playoffs Final between GAM Esports and Saigon Buffalo resulted in a 3-1 win for GAM. However, the team has already qualified for the 31st SEA Games, leaving Saigon Buffalo to represent Vietnam at MSI.

Evil Geniuses will be matched up against G2 Esports from the LEC, and ORDER from the LCO in Group C. Meanwhile, Saigon Buffalo will join the LCK’s T1, the LJL’s DetonatioN FocusMe, and the LLA’s Team Aze in Group A.

So what are the MSI 2022 groups? Here is how the MSI 2022 groups look:

Group A Group B Group C
DetonatioN FocusMe Istanbul Wildcats G2 Esports
Saigon Buffalo PSG Talon Evil Geniuses
T1 RED Canids ORDER
Team Aze Royal Never Give Up

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, the LCL will not be sending a representative to MSI 2022, leaving Group C one team short. Regardless, we’re hoping that this year’s tournament will once again produce some magical moments.
