PlayStation has a new service that allows you to earn rewards and collectibles for playing PlayStation games and completing campaigns called PlayStation Stars. This is too much of a good prospect to pass up for PlayStation players, so this guide is here to guide you through how to join PlayStation Stars so you can get to earning the goodies.
This new service is a great addition for players who love to complete games fully, gathering all the collectibles in Stray or completing all of the side missions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for example.
Below, we’ll explain how to join PlayStation Stars, as well as where the service is currently available and the foibles you might encounter.
How to join PlayStation Stars
To join PlayStation Stars, you need to sign up for a PSN account if you don’t already have one. Once you have a PSN account, then you can sign up to become a PlayStation Stars member on the PlayStation Stars page. Then, download the PlayStation app to your iOS or Android device. Once you have the app installed on your device, you’ll be able to see and complete PlayStation stars campaigns, earn rewards, and track your progress.
PlayStation Stars is currently available in Asia, the US, and South America. It will be coming to other regions of the world over the coming weeks.
It should be noted that if you try to sign up to become a PlayStation Stars member when the service isn’t yet available in your region, you will receive an error message.
The PlayStation Stars page also states that “some players may be put on a PlayStation Stars waitlist for up to two months” when they first sign up. It isn’t yet clear who will be affected by this or why.
