Are you struggling to pick up podium placements in Grand Theft Auto 5 motorcycle races? You’re not alone. Learning what to pick in the vehicle selection screen of a GTA Online race is difficult enough, especially if custom vehicles are enabled.
But it doesn’t have to be hard. We all know that one wrong selection can lead to a pretty rough race, so if you’re clever enough to do your research to find out what the GTA Online fastest bike actually is, you’re more likely to have more successful races in one of the best multiplayer games.
There’s a lot to think about, though. While you might be tempted to opt for a bike based on its in-game stats or how quickly you think it can do 0-60mph, it’s worth considering other factors, like handling and traction. So with all of that in mind, here are the fastest bikes in GTA Online, based on their top speed, lap times, and price.
Like our GTA Online fastest car guide, we’ve only included bikes which are found in races, so you won’t find ones like the Deathbike or the Oppressor there.
GTA Online Fastest bikes – top speed
These are the GTA Online bikes that have the biggest speedometers, which are perfect for long straights.
- Western Reever – 163mph
- Western Deathbike (Arena) – 150mph
- Pegassi Oppressor – 140mph
- Maibatsu Manchez Scout – 139.75mph
- Nagasaki BF400 – 137mph
- Pegassi Bati 801 / Pegassi Bati 801RR – 135mph
- Shitzu Hakuchou – 134mph
- Ruffian – 127mph
The fastest bike in GTA 5 in terms of top speed is undoubtedly the Western Reever. Based on the ARCH Method 143, the Reever is capable of reaching a whopping 163mph when your foot’s on the gas. The only downside? This speed comes at a cost. $1,900,000, to be exact, from Legendary Motorsport. Yeah, the Western Reever isn’t exactly cheap to pick up, though it brings the performance.
If you’re on a budget, then we actually recommend the Manchez Scout. This military off-road motorcycle joined GTA Online as part of The Cayo Perica Heist update and it’s become a firm favourite online. You’ll have to pay Warstock Cache & Carry just $225,000 to own one, which is an absolute steal considering the competitive performance it offers.
Close behind the Scout is the BF400 – but only when fully upgraded. This sports bike will set you back $95,000 from South San Andreas Super Autos, but you’ll need to spend a fair bit more to bring this bike up to scratch.
The Pegassi Bati 801 and the Shitzu Hakuchou, priced at $15,000 and $82,000 are also good options on a budget. You’ll regularly see these bikes on the grid at races, but their placement depends on how they’ve been tuned.
Last up on our list is the Ruffian, which can be picked up for a mere $9,000 online. It’s a super quick bike that does well on the straight but suffers on tight corners.
GTA Online Fastest bikes – lap time
If you’re looking for something that can handle sharp turns and stunt races, these GTA 5 bikes are for you.
- Nagasaki Shotaro (0:57.490)
- Hakuchou Drag (0:57.590)
- Bati 801 (0:58.625)
- Akuma (0:58.892)
- Double-T (1:00.261)
The fastest bike in GTA Online based on lap time is the Shotaro. This futuristic bike carries a pretty hefty $2,225,000 price tag, but it’s one of the best all-around motorbikes in the game. If you have the money, the Shotaro is a must-have.
However, close behind it is the Hakuchou Drag, which is ever so slightly more affordable, coming in at $976,000. It’s a super quick bike, but be warned: you can’t do wheelies in it and it suffers from understeer.
One second slower than the Shotaro and the Hakoucho Drag are the Bati 901 and the Akuma. These bikes, which cost $15,000 and $9,000 are affordable race bikes that, once upgraded, should see you contesting the best.
Last up is the Double-T, a $12,000 motorcycle that prides acceleration over everything else. It’s not the worst bike in GTA 5, but you can certainly do better.
So there we have it, those are the GTA Online fastest bikes. If you’re sweating just looking at the price tags, make sure you check out our how to make money in GTA 5 online guide for some quick tips.
