It seems like Sony is keen to support the second generation of PSVR heavily, bringing numerous games from beloved series like Horizon to the new headset. Another franchise will also be coming soon, with the Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 release date coming up on the final lap.
While this won’t be a full game like Horzion: Call of the Mountain, this update will put you behind the steering wheel of all of the Gran Turismo 7 cars available. In fact, you could even start the engines in some of the Gran Turismo 7 Legendary cars. If you’re just as excited as we are, here’s when you can expect to race onto the track.
Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 release date
The Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 update is set to release on February 22, 2023. This is the same day as the PSVR 2’s release date, as announced by Jim Ryan at the Sony CES 2023 press conference.
While the latest update won’t drastically change Gran Turismo 7, like making a dedicated VR game, it will certainly be interesting for those who own GT 7 and want to play it in a different view than before.
Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 features
The PSVR 2 headset and the new Sense Controllers will make Gran Turismo 7 even more immersive than before, thanks to 3D audio, eye tracking, as well as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the Sense Controllers. Pairing the game up with a great steering wheel attachment will also help you feel right at home in the driver’s seat. We’ll likely hear more details about the update closer to launch.
That’s the Gran Turismo 7 PSVR 2 release date for all of those car lovers out there. There’s plenty of other reasons to go out and purchase the latest PlayStation virtual reality headset though, as there are plenty of upcoming PSVR 2 games to buy.
