Genshin Impact’s road to Sumeru continues, as we hurtle ever-onwards towards the popular gacha-infused ARPG’s 3.0 update. However, before that we need to take a short, summery break, and developer HoYoverse has finally announced the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream time where we’ll learn more about all of the fun activities we’ll be taking part in during the next version –  ‘Summer Fantasia’.

Of course, if you’ve been keeping up with our Genshin Impact 2.8 leaks guide, you’ll know that during the livestream we should get official confirmation of the contents of the version’s main event – Summertime Odyssey – including the plethora of minigames we’ll get to enjoy.

When the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream time rolls round, we’re also expecting HoYoverse to showcase the brand new Diluc and Fischl skins which were reportedly leaked yesterday. The new cosmetics for two of the most iconic Genshin Impact characters have been long-awaited additions for Diluc and Fischl enjoyers everywhere. And, of course, we should also be getting the lowdown on the Genshin Impact banners for Version 2.8.

The Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream time is July 2 at 5am PT / 8am ET / 1pm BST. HoYoverse confirmed the time via Twitter.

How to watch Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream

As always, Travellers will be able to watch the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel. Should you miss the stream, HoYoverse usually uploads it to the Genshin YouTube channel four hours later.

HoYoverse has promised not only “juicy” details about Version 2.8, but also a number of redemption codes which will allow players to snag some extra Primogems. With a return to the Golden Apple Archipelago reportedly on the cards, we can’t wait to dive into Version 2.8 when it arrives on July 13.
