Forza Horizon 5 changes up the formula by implementing a ranking system as its main form of progression with the Hot Wheels DLC. By completing tasks and missions within the new Hot Wheels areas you can earn new rewards and grab medals. Each medal earned will also work towards helping your climb the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Academy ranks.
Each rank increases the difficulty of the challenge, so while things might start off easy, the tension between wins and races in the later missions will be higher.
But, before you begin tackling those tougher missions, you will need an overview of the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Academy ranks so you can know how many medals you need to reach each new one. That way you can focus your efforts on completing the tasks that give you the most medals in the shortest time.
Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Academy Ranks
There are five Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Academy ranks, each unlocked by earning a number of medals. The amount needed for each class are:
- Rookie Rank (B class) – Unlocked at the beginning of the DLC
- Pro Rank (A class) – Unlocked after earning 175 medals
- Expert Rank (S1 class) – Unlocked after earning 575 medals
- Elite Rank (S2 class) – Unlocked after earning 1,375 medals
- Legend rank (X class) – Unlocked after earning 2,425 medals
As you move up each rank, the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels missions get harder and more challenging. And, the speed of the races and the difficulty of them increase. Therefore, if you are going to want to reach the top rank in the DLC, you will need to really practice your driving skills.
