Here’s when the Fortnite V-Bucks price increase will happen

Epic Games changes the Fortnite V-Bucks prices again around the world, providing players with a date for it. It is still good news for the Fortnite Crew pass.

Fortnite V-Bucks price increase

Filling up your Fortnite locker will all those sleek skins and gliders doesn’t come cheap in the Epic Games battle royale. V-Bucks are an essential part of the game, but the price of this digital currency is set to change once again. Epic Games will soon roll out plans for a Fortnite V-Bucks price increase, and if you’re wondering how it will affect you, here’s when it will take place.

Following the start of the annual Fortnitemares event, if you’re hoping to get that Michael Myers or Alan Wake 2 skin, we recommend buying your V-Bucks beforehand. Fortnite leaker ‘iFireMonkey‘ reports that “the Fortnite price increase will go into effect starting 12 PM ET on October 27 for PlayStation and 1 PM ET on October 27 for Xbox.” Furthermore, they allege that players dropping on PC and Nintendo Switch can also expect the increase to be applied “around this time range”, too.

The developer also confirms exactly how the prices will change in one of the best battle royale games around. Here is a breakdown of the V-Bucks changes:

  • 1,000 V-Bucks – $8.99 (originally $7.99/£6.99)
  • 2,800 V-Bucks – $22.99 (originally $19.99/£15.99)
  • 5,000 V-bucks – $36.99 (originally $31.99/£25.99)
  • 13,500 V-bucks – $89.99 (originally $79.99/£63.99)

While the date was known to Fortnite players previously, the time of the update is officially unclear. The price change comes off the back of a recent Fortnite blog post, in which Epic Games clarifies that “we are adjusting the price of V-Bucks and our real money content Pack offers in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Eurozone countries, Hungary, Japan, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, and the United States (including all storefronts where the United States Dollar is used) on October 27, 2023.”

It is still good news for Fortnite Crew members, though, as the price increase won’t affect Fortnite Crew pass purchases. “Fortnite Crew subscription pricing is not impacted by these changes,” Epic Games details on the blog post.

Additionally, prices for specific packs will be adjusted in the future. These packs include: The Final Reckoning Pack, Skull Squad Pack, Graveyard Drift Quest Pack, Saint Academy Quest Pack, and Transformers Pack.

There is still some time to stock up on V-Bucks at their current price, and while you are dropping into the island, put these Fortnite Creative codes to good use. Alternatively, check out some of the best PS5 free games and best free Xbox games you can download right now.
