Fortnite players can only pick up new Thor skins as a bundle

Epic Games quite-literally doesn't miss a beat, do they? There are two new Thor skins on offer, but Fortnite players can only buy them together in a bundle

If there’s one thing Fortnite players can look forward to in Epic Games’ battle royale, it’s new skins based on whatever’s popular – whether that’s a popular streamer, an anime character, or even (in some cases) a meme. Following the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ Thor Love and Thunder, Epic Games has introduced two new Thor skins to the Fortnite Item Shop. While this isn’t too surprising given the popularity of Marvel skins in the battle royale, it’s surprising fans to find out that they can only pick up these skins as a bundle.

Yes, you’ve read that right. Fortnite players will only be able to pick up the new Thor skins (and all the related cosmetics) if they buy the whole bundle. This isn’t usual practice for Fortnite, though. Usually, players can spend their V-Bucks on all the cosmetics items individually if they want – with the incentive that buying them as a bundle is a little bit cheaper.

However, for some reason, Epic Games isn’t letting players do that this time around and you’ll need 2,500 V-Bucks if you want to get your hands on all the cosmetics related to Marvel Studios’ Thor Love and Thunder.

If you’re wondering what cosmetics are in the ‘Gods of Thunder Pack’, which is the official name for this mighty bundle, we have everything included below:

  • Thor Odinson
  • Thor’s Cape back bling
  • Stormbreaker pickaxe
  • Stormbreaker’s Flight glider
  • Bring The Hammer Down emote
  • Mighty Thor
  • Mighty Thor’s Cape back bling
  • Reformed Mjolnir pickaxe
  • Mjolnir’s Flight glider
  • Gods of Thunder loading screen

Interestingly, both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir – and the associated gliders – are only useable by Thor, Thor Odinson, Mighty Thor, and Captain America. This is a fun nod to the fact that there are only a handful of beings worthy of weilding Mjonlir – and Stormbreaker – but will annoy fans hoping to make the most of this incredible weapon with another skin. Perhaps, at some point in the future, Epic Games will change this – although, we’re not so sure yet.

If you’re a fan of this mighty weapon, you’ll be interested to know that God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition gives fans Thor’s Mjolnir– well, a replica of it anyway.
