Listen, we miss Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Though the latter is still active, we’re still waiting for a new game, but until, Fortnite Festival is here to scratch that itch. Epic Games is getting ready to let players take the stage, teaming up with Rock Band developer Harmonix to bring a fresh rhythm game experience to Fortnite. If you were wondering what songs will get the party started, then luckily for you the initial list of Fortnite Festival songs is now available.

Just when we thought Fortnite couldn’t get any better, Epic Games throws down the gauntlet, and continues to prove why it is one of the best battle royale games around. Fortnite Creative codes have always led to excellent experience beyond just shooting other players, and now, Fortnite Festival sees Epic Games evolve on this further. Featuring gameplay akin to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, players will select their preferred songs, testing their might on the fretboard – just like the good old days.

The collaboration follows a string of musical adventures in Fortnite over past seasons, with events including the likes of Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and more recently Eminem as part of The Big Bang seasonal end event. All of these artists brought new skins to the Item Shop, and the same tradition continues with The Weeknd.

We think Fortnite Festival is the start of these huge musical collaborations becoming more frequent, and with resources as considerable as Epic Games, just about anyone could become the next Fortnite Festival headliner. Alongside unlocking instruments for your characters, Epic Games confirms that numerous artists across multiple genres are amid the first selected to show off what Fortnite Festival is all about.
