Epic Games' next Fortnite update is almost here and the latest trailer is teasing some wild Chapter 4 Season 3 map changes for the BR on Xbox, PS5, and PC.

Epic Games is teasing some pretty epic – excuse the pun – Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 map changes ahead of the next Fortnite update and things are getting a little wild – literally. Subtitled “Wilds”, the next Fortnite update is going to see a huge sinkhole open up on the Island. This game is widely considered one of the best battle royale games ever, and when you look at what Epic Games has done in the past, and what it’s planning to do, it’s clear to see why.

Ahead of the update’s release, Epic Games has taken to Twitter to share yet-another teaser for the upcoming battle royale update. We’ve known this update was eyeing up a tropic theme for some time now, but at long last we’re starting to see something concrete – something that should help us piece together what we can expect.

As you can see for yourself down below, the latest Fortnite Wilds teaser trailer suggests a rather large sinkhole is going to open up a brand new sunken jungle area on the Island. We don’t know exactly where it will open up, yet, but it looks like Mega City will survive another update. As the biggest POI to ever exist in-game, we can imagine Epic Games will want to make the most of it before it’s scrapped.

The video above was shared to Twitter with the following caption, something that seems to suggest we’re all going to have quite a lot to uncover when these map changes are implemented.

“Cracked, but not forgotten. Overgrown, but not forbidden. Lost, but not forgotten. What lies underneath the surface? #FortniteWILDS”

At the end of the teaser, we get a glimpse of some Chapter 4 Season 3 battle pass skins – according to Fortnite leaker ‘iFireMonkey‘ – and the rather iconic Fishstick. With any luck, he will make it through the full cinematic without dying – when that drops – unlike Peely – a Fortnite character who has met his end a number of times in Fortnite seasonal cinematics.

Thankfully, we won’t have long to wait to find out more. Presenter Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Forntite Wilds will feature during the Summer Game Fest showcase on June 8; you can tune in at 12:00 PST / 15:00 EST / 20:00 BST to find out more about this update – and, with any luck, the map changes.

With Fortnite Ranked now available, this could very-well become one of the best competitive shooters out there. However, it still has a long way to go before it compares to the likes of Valorant and Apex Legends. Still, you could argue Fortnite is one of the best games of all time and this update looks to continue it’s legacy of fantastic free content updates – and, we imagine, more cosmetics for you to spend your V-Bucks on.
