Fortnite Black Widow skin finally returns after 1,668 days

The OG Black Widow Fortnite skin is back in the Fortnite Item Shop, but there isn't long left to get it, so act fast before it disappears.

When it comes to the rarest Fortnite skins around, the Black Widow Fortnite skin is undoubtedly one of the more coveted cosmetics in the game. Debuting back in April 2019, the Fortnite Black Widow skin didn’t stick around for long, and remained absent for years – until now. The time is now if you’re a huge fan of the Marvel heroine, as the OG Black Widow Fortnite skin is finally back in the Item Shop.

We’re being serious, this isn’t a joke, as after nearly 1,700 days, Fortnite players can see that the Black Widow skin bundle is available. You won’t be roaming around with a skin sporting the visage of MCU star Scarlett Johansson, though. The original Fortnite Black Widow skin sports a unique design, blending the traditional aesthetic of the character’s comic-style suit with Epic Games’ own spin.

You’ll also be able to use a blonde variant of Black Widow, giving you the closest thing to a Yelena Belova skin (the second Black Widow after Nastaha Romanoff). It is available for 1,500 V-Bucks alone, but could also be purchased as part of the Avengers Set, which includes Captain America too. However, this specific bundle hasn’t returned alongside Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow. The skin was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 8 on April 25, 2019, before disappearing completely.

Courtesy of FNBR, you can view each cosmetic that Black Widow is associated with in one of the best battle royale games around. Just like her original appearance, though, Black Widow won’t be sticking around for long in Fortnite. The item shops refreshes every day, so Black Widow could be gone tomorrow. Epic Games won’t hesitate, but if they are planning on bringing more rare skins, Fortnite players already some ideas they’d like to be considered.

John Wick is one of many skins that has yet to reappear, and hasn’t been seen since the third John Wick movie, Parabellum, debuted in theaters around the world back in 2019. With the release of John Wick Chapter 4 earlier this year, we thought Epic Games may have brought him back alongside The Continental Hotel POI, but alas, Wick is still an elusive Fortnite Locker cosmetic. John Wick debuted on May 16, 2019, and was last seen in Fortnite on March 25, 2021 – over 900 days ago.

Will Keanu Reeves’ stoic hitman return to the island? Anything is possible, and now that Black Widow is temporarily back in the mix, we’d say the chances are higher than ever before in one of the best multiplayer games on PS5 and Xbox.
