No Foamstars Platinum trophy sucks, but there is a free PS5 reward

The lack of a Platinum trophy in Foamstars is disappointing, but you can get a free reward through the PlayStation Stars reward program.

Foamstars is available now on PS5, bringing you and your friends together to spray the town red and blue. The new 4v4 multiplayer game includes a small amount of trophies to earn, but putting in the graft to acquire them won’t lead to a Platinum. We know that’s pretty rubbish, but it isn’t all bad, especially if you’re a collector of PlayStation Stars.

If you haven’t done it already, downloading the PlayStation app on iOS and Android will grant you access to managing your PlayStation Stars rewards. Similar to Xbox‘s Microsoft Rewards, PlayStation Stars are earned by completing monthly campaigns or purchasing new PS5 games or add-ons like in-game currency. Signing yourself up for the ‘Foamstars Party Time’ campaign will let you earn an exclusive reward, in the form of a digital collectible.

The collectible is a 3D render of SOA, the pink-haired character dominating the game’s posters. Like the rest of the digital rewards in the app, you can display them proudly on your profile. However, you won’t be able to acquire it just by simply booting up the fresh multiplayer game. Out of the twelve trophies available for Foamstars, this campaign requires players to earn three of them.

Specifically, you’ll need to complete the following trophies: Smash the Star, Rubber Duck Party, and Happy Bath Survival. Don’t worry though, you won’t need to grind away at the game too long to get them. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Happy Bath Survival: Win in Happy Bath Survival (Private Parties and Ranked Parties are excluded)
  • Rubber Duck Party: Win in Rubber Duck Party (Private Parties and Ranked Parties are excluded)
  • Smash the Star: Win in Smash the Star (Private Parties and Ranked Parties are excluded)

Pretty easy, isn’t it? You’ll likely get these trophies within your first hour or so with the game, leaving you plenty of time on your hands to see what other PlayStation Stars campaigns are waiting for completion. The good thing about some of these campaigns is that you’ll earn points to use toward redeeming PlayStation Store vouchers, or even some of the best PS5 games around.

There isn’t long to play Foamstars for free, though, so don’t hesitate to add to your growing live-service games library.
