FIFA 23 World Cup Mode Release Date: Multiple players can be seen

The World Cup is back again this year and FIFA 23 is going to be celebrating in a number of ways with unique modes for you to play for both the World Cup in Qatar and the Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand. But when will they drop and when can you expect to hear about a FIFA 23 World Cup mode release date.

As mentioned, there will be separate modes for the World Cup and Women’s World Cup when each event is held in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Things will kick off in late 2022 with the World Cup and then 2023 will bring the Women’s World Cup mode with new additions, features, and more.

When is the FIFA 23 World Cup mode release date

The FIFA 23 World Cup mode will release on November 9, 2022. The World Cup in Qatar is set to begin on November 20, 2022, so we this gives you a bit of a headstart.

Then, for the Women’s World Cup, that will take place on July 20, 2023, so we imagine it will follow a similar schedule to the World Cup. Although, that is just a guess on our part for now until EA details more.

The mode will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch owners won’t get access tot he mode.

FIFA 23 World Cup Mode Teams

The FIFA 23 World Cup mode as one of the following 32 teams:

  • Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands
  • Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales
  • Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland
  • Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia
  • Group E: Span, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan
  • Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia
  • Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon
  • Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

 

Alongside these groups, you are able to customise and change them, alongside adding teams which haven’t qualified for the World Cup. Once the world cup begins, from November 21, 2022, a new live mode will be added to the game. Ultimate Team will also see new upgrades based on each nation’s progress through the tournament outside of the game.
