Evil Dead Rise’s Beth could be brutal addition to Evil Dead The Game

Evil Dead The Game fans think Evil Dead Rise's Beth would be a perfect addition to the horror game on Xbox consoles, PS4, PS5, and PC, and we agree with them.

With supernatural thriller Evil Dead Rise hitting theatres, we really think Evil Dead The Game should look to the latest cinematic installment in this iconic franchise for it’s next DLC – and we’re not alone. Die-hard fans of Saber Interactive’s asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Evil Dead The Game have been discussing how the developer would make a survivor character like Beth stand-out and it’s safe to say that she could very well be a brutal addition to the title – that is, if some of the suggestions were followed.

In a discussion sparked online by ‘coco_puffsz‘ on the official Evil Dead The Game Subreddit, fans of this asymmetrical multiplayer horror game have suggested that a survivor depicting Lily Sullivan’s Beth from Evil Dead Rise could fit into the game’s meta with increased Fear resistance, an affinity for scissors – something they would want to see introduced to the game as a lighter melee weapon – and the ability to cloak herself from the Kandarian Demon – at least for a short period of time.

With one fan claiming that “she spends the whole movie looking after and protecting the kids”, it would certainly make sense to see Beth as a Support character in Evil Dead The Game.

However, there’s a faction of fans that would like to see Beth introduced as a Hunter character, as she does take the fight to the Deadites in Evil Dead Rise with a double-barrel shotgun – something you can find in Evil Dead The Game already. This has led to suggestions that Beth could be a character to deal additional dismemberment damage with this weapon type; she could also be introduced as someone other that Ash (Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, and Ash vs Evil Dead variants) to wield a chainsaw.

We know all of that sounds like someone that would be a little over-powered, but we’re sure there are ways for Saber Interactive to balance a character like Beth – even with those unique abilities included.

So, we think it’s safe to say that Saber Interactive could do quite a lot with Beth from Evil Dead Rise – and that’s just one character from one movie. When you think about everyone else in Evil Dead Rise, and the fact that Alyssa Sutherland’s Ellie would make an excellent Demon, on top of all the untapped ground when it comes to the franchise as a whole, there’s a lot that can be done.

Thankfully, it does look like Evil Dead The Game’s GOTY Edition isn’t the end for the horror game – and Saber Interactive is going to assess what the fans want before it decides on its’ next step. So, we could very-well see Evil Dead Rise content in the game in the future.

If you haven’t seen Evil Dead Rise and you’re wondering where this fits in with the rest of the franchise, you’re not alone. You can find out how to watch the Evil Dead movies in order right here – and, you can find out how to watch Evil Dead Rise on streaming platforms here.
