Escape From Tarkov’s 0.12.7 update delayed until next week

We'll just have to wait for the shooter's new scav update

Escape from Tarkov

Escape From Tarkov’s next update, patch 0.12.7, has been delayed until next week. Battlestate Games has tweeted out that the next version of the game will be released early in the week of July 27, because “Friday updates are always bad”.

The next update for the shooter is certainly on its way, we already know that it’s going to add new playable areas to Customs as well as extra quests, and a new scav boss. It’s a hefty update to the already hugely successful game, and although it’s disappointing that we won’t get to play it this weekend, we trust that Battlestate is getting it ready as we speak.

Scavs are also getting a bit of a buff, if anything, as their AI is being improved in the patch. They’ll be able to pick up weapons, says hello to one another, and run towards danger, but if you want to read more about what they’ll be able to do, here’s everything we know about the update.

Battlestate’s tweet announcing the delay humorously says that: “We decided to move 0.12.7 patch update to early next week, cause Friday updates are always bad. This will give us more time to prepare everything better. Sorry!”

Maybe less intelligent scavs are a good thing for now – this weekend may be your last chance to outsmart their AI easily.
