Crash Team Rumble is Toys for Bob’s new 4v4 multiplayer game full of classic Crash Bandicoot characters and high-intensity multiplayer competition. With the game now out a lot of gameplay and characters have been showcased in videos and many players are left wondering if there is Crash Team Rumble split-screen couch co-op in this latest entry in the series.
This year’s GOTY competition is already looking pretty stacked, with some of the best Xbox games in 2023 and best PS5 games in 2023 lists already overflowing with impressively moreish games. Crash Team Rumble is looking to dodge, duck, and roll its way into everyone’s hearts with charm and competitive chaos.
Does Crash Team Rumble have split-screen?
Crash Team Rumble does not offer a split-screen couch co-op experience and is primarily a 4v4 online team multiplayer game. This has been confirmed on both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store pages for the game.
This means connecting with friends to engage in team-based combat will require an online connection. For those looking to play on Xbox, this means having Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold, and for PlayStation users, you’ll need a subscription to PS Plus.
The official console pages also make it clear that CTR supports up to eight players per match with cross-platform play, so big groups of friends can relish some friendly or not-so-friendly competition without needing to be within the same console pool.
If you don’t have a subscription to one of these services, you can grab them below, as well as the game!
