Warzone Operation Monarch killstreak gives players Godzilla powers

Things are getting a little out of hand in Call of Duty Warzone, but the battle royale is giving players a way to fight back with the SCREAM Device killstreak

It’s time to take a stand, Call of Duty Warzone players, against what is quite-literally the biggest threat the popular battle royale has ever faced: Godzilla and Kong from Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse. These two Titans are duking it out on Caldera during Warzone’s Operation Monarch event, but they’re not the only ones using supernatural powers in the heat of battle. Warzone players will be able to harness and unleash the power of both Godzilla and Kong through Operation Monarch’s brand new SCREAM Device killstreak – and we can’t wait to try it out for ourselves.

The Operation Monarch event is finally kicking off and, while players won’t be able to directly control Godzilla or Kong while playing the limited-time mode, they will be able to command the epic powers of these two titans with Warzone’s new limited-time killstreak: the SCREAM Device. If you’re wondering, SCREAM stands for Sonic Communication Radar and Echolocation Array Module – which is a bit of a mouthful.

According to the Call of Duty Blog, using this killstreak “grants the user one of two powers from the Titans: a Heat Ray breath from Godzilla or a ground pound from Kong”. So, just… Normal things, then.

When you’ve picked which attack you want to use, all you need to do is direct it like you would any ordinary killstreak. Multiple SCREAM Device killstreaks can’t be used in rapid succession, so you’re going to need to make it count. Thankfully, there are multiple ways you can get your hands on a Warzone Operation Monarch SCREAM Device – which you can find out here.

Warzone’s Operation Monarch event introduces a limited-time mode of the same name that has players battling to be the last squad standing in a Caldera haunted by towering Titans with Resurgence rules. There are going to be a lot of secrets to uncover during this event, if you can survive long enough to find them.

If you’re looking to throw yourself into the Monsterverse a little more during this event, you can pick up some epic Warzone Operation Monarch skins from the in-game store. There are also some Warzone Operation Monarch challenges worth completing – getting all the rewards nets you a marksman rifle weapon blueprint.
