Best Warzone 2 Loadout of the Week – double up on ARs with this class

Happy 2023 and welcome back to another iteration of The Loadout's Best Warzone 2 Loadout of the Week series - this week, we're talking all about assault rifles

We’re all well into 2023 and Warzone 2 Season 1 now, so what better time than to take a long look at what people are doing with the weapons on offer? That’s right, we’re going to talk about the Best Warzone 2 Loadout of the Week yet-again. In the last iteration of this series, from last year, we talked about the best Warzone 2 sniper rifle option available and how you could stalk Al Mazrah’s rooftops with a particularly powerful one. This time around, though, we’re talking about the best Warzone 2 assault rifles and a class that doubles-up on them from ‘JGOD‘.

Now, we know what you’re thinking; what Warzone 2 player would double-up on two weapons of the same class? Well, Call of Duty content creator and Warzone wizard JGOD has suggested just that – and we actually think this is one of the best classes we’ve seen in a long time. Assault rifles are one of the most popular, and populated, weapon classes in Warzone 2 for good reason. Not only are they devastating in the right hands, but they can be easily adapted to suit closer-range gunfights and long-range firing.

So, that’s why we’re going to check out JGOD’s double assault rifle class; it makes use of the best Warzone 2 Kastov 762 class build and the best Warzone 2 Chimera class build, alongside the Weapon Specialist perk package and some useful throwables.

First, let’s talk the Kastov 762 – a hard-hitting assault rifle that, if you can control the recoil, can devastate at a distance. Here’s what you need to equip this weapon with:

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Barrel: KAS-10 584mm Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4

When it comes to attachment tuning, you’re going to want to tweak the Optic significantly both horizontally and vertically – as you’ll be able to see in JGOD’s video down below. Similarly, there’s some fine tuning to be had when it comes to the muzzle attachment, the barrel attachment, and the underbarrel attachment. If you haven’t unlocked this feature yet, though, you don’t need to worry. This weapon will still pack a punch.

When it comes to the Chimera build, though, you’re going to need to look at the following attachments:

  • Barrel: 6.5″ EXF OP-40
  • Laser: 1mw Quick Fire Laser
  • Stock: Ravage-8
  • Rear Grip: D37 Grip
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag

This assault rifle is the close-range option this class offers, something to balance the Kastov 762’s naturally strong damage range. That’s why you need a laser attachment and a stock that’s going to improve this weapon’s mobility and handling. In a pinch, you’ll still be able to hit someone with this Chimera at a distance – you’re just not going to have the benefits of an optic.

JGOD has paired these two ARs with a Smoke Grenade and a Drill Charge, but we think this is more of a personal preference. So, if you like Semtex and Stun Grenades, they would work just as well. You can find out the details of tuning at around the 2:00 mark in the video above.

When it comes to using the best Warzone 2 loadouts, there are more options than you might think. So, check this out and see how you get on. If you’re not a fan, you can find out more on all the best builds for the best Warzone 2 guns right here.
