It’s safe to say that Call of Duty fans have a lot to look forward to with the new Modern Warfare game – it looks absolutely insane. How do we know this? Well, Infinity Ward has just released the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 world reveal trailer to the world and it gives fans a great look at what to expect from the next entry in the iconic FPS series.
In the trailer, which you can check out for yourself below, we get a great look at the advancements Infinity Ward has made to the gameplay players can expect from Modern Warfare 2 when it launches later this year. Traversal seems to be the area where things have improved the most, with sliding and diving both available simultaneously alongside a ledge-hanging feature.
Players can also look forward to new water physics, which will affect bullet velocity and concealment, alongside a heavier reliance on vehicles throughout the campaign and multiplayer. Infinity Ward’s communications director Stephanie Snowden says that this is going to be “a broad page-turn for the franchise… [part of] the most-ambitious franchise, wise plan we’ve ever had” – and that certainly seems to be the case.
Infinity Ward has already confirmed when the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date falls, so we know how long we’re going to have to wait, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. This could very-well be one of the best Call of Duty games we’ve ever seen – and we don’t say that lightly.
