Here’s what you need to do to set-up split-screen in Modern Warfare 2:

  • Launch Modern Warfare 2 and head into the Multiplayer menu
  • Connect a second controller to your console and press X/A to sign in
  • Select and sign in with an account that has an active Xbox Live / PS Plus membership and an associated Activision account
