Here’s what you need to do to set-up split-screen in Modern Warfare 2:
- Launch Modern Warfare 2 and head into the Multiplayer menu
- Connect a second controller to your console and press X/A to sign in
- Select and sign in with an account that has an active Xbox Live / PS Plus membership and an associated Activision account
