The MW2 Season 5 Reloaded release date is Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 09:00 PT, 12:00 ET, 17:00 BST, 18:00 CEST on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. This tracks with other Reloaded updates launching about four weeks after the initial season launches.
Call of Duty seasonal updates always land on a Wednesday, and unfortunately, the date at three and a half weeks into the season lands on the weekend. That means Activision rounded it up to four weeks, giving us the August 30 date.
MW2 Season 5 Reloaded roadmap
The MW2 Season 5 Reloaded roadmap includes:
- DRC – Zone 1 map
- Gunfight Snipers mode
- Mace, Lara Croft, 21 Savage Operators
- Lachmann Shroud, 9mm Daemon, Pickaxe weapons
- Store bundles
- Friend Recommender, Play Again features
The highlight of this update, as detailed on the Call of Duty blog is the DRC – Zone 1 map which offers all kinds of combat and is adjacent to Building 21. This will sit alongside the Gunfight Snipers modes where you play in duos to become masters of the Marksman Rifles and Snipers in the game.
Play Again has been adapted to MW2 allowing individual players and party leaders to stick together for the next match, while Friend Reccomender is built on “a new dynamic system that suggests new friends to play with”.
The new operators are here and all of them will be available in the bundle throughout the entire season. The Lachmann Shroud is the big new weapon here arriving in the Battle Pass, Sector E0. The Pickaxe is a reward for completing a challenge and taking down 15 players with melee weapons, while the 9mm Daemon requires 15 Pistol headshots.
