Is Modern Warfare 2 on Game Pass? It’s the question on everyone’s lips, really. Microsoft is still trying to get its acquisition of Activision Blizzzard King approved by the Federal Trade Commission – a deal that’s worth a reported $69 billion – and it’s clear Xbox is trying to improve the value of the service even further. But, does that mean the game is coming to the subscription service?
With some fantastic campaign missions, a decent selection of co-operative Spec Ops missions, and – of course – a multiplayer mode that makes this one of the best competitive FPS games out there, Modern Warfare 2 would be a huge addition to the service. That much is undeniable.
Is Modern Warfare 2 on Game Pass?
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is not available on Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass PC at the moment. At the moment, no information available suggests it will arrive on the service in the future.
We know that’s a bit of a let down, but – at the moment – Call of Duty “won’t even consider” adding games like Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox Game Pass. Of course, that could change – and Modern Warfare 2 would certainly be one of the best Xbox Game Pass games available if it does get added to the service – but it seems very unlikely. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has expressed his vehement dislike of subscription services during the ongoing FTC trial and it’s clear that Activision Blizzard doesn’t view it as profitable for the business.
