Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

The remastered campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due to release later this week, according to a new report. The remaster, which is believed to be developed by Raven Software, is set to be released with the PlayStation Store’s weekly update tomorrow, according to VGC, who earlier this year accurately reported the release date for Warzone.

The game will have an up-to-date version of the iconic shooter’s campaign, but it won’t have a multiplayer mode. Instead, maps from Modern Warfare 2 have already been ported to this year’s Modern Warfare game, and more are expected to follow in the next season pass. So if you want to grind out the multiplayer, you’re going to have to do that in the latest game of the franchise.

There will also be a number of Warzone cosmetics to help market the game too. The skin for the old-school version of Ghost will be on offer as part of a bundle, which will be given to Warzone players who buy the remaster. The price for this bundle hasn’t been revealed just yet, though.

With self-isolation meaning most of us are glued to our consoles and computers at the moment, news of a newly remastered game is welcome indeed.
